| Create a Social Chapter |
|
| |
Participating in a Social Chapter can be fulfilling and fun.
Karmic provides opportunities to individuals and organization to participate in social activities - at their own pace and in a cause of their own choosing. Karmic thus provides a platform and administers the utilization of funds through its partner NGOs. This may not be possible at an individual level.
Karmic plans to promote the concept among students, young professionals and even housewives so that they get an opportunity to participate in social activities. The initiative is executed by forming "Social Chapters".
A Social Chapter is a group of not less than 10 or more individuals, each of whom pledges a donation to his/her respective chapter so that a pool of funds (of Rs2-10 lacs), is created.
- The circle is initiated and led by a Chapter Captain.
- The funds raised by the circle go towards supporting one or more projects of the NGOs partners of Karmic.
- The circle determines which project it will support by way of voting, i.e., once the funds have been collected by the circle owner, the circle will discuss and vote to decide which one (or two) out of the several projects they want to support with the pooled money.
- Each circle member is entitled to vote in the ratio of the contribution.
- Karmic will ensure the utilization of the amount and provide a feedback report to the Chapter.

What's Special about Social Chapters?
|
| |
- Forming or (joining) a Social Chapter provides you with a hands-on opportunity to collaborate with others who share a desire to make focused community investments with impact. Collective know how and decision-making of a group adds value and impact to volunteerism and charitable investments.
- Each member is keenly involved in a process of evaluating the objectives and impact of specific reform efforts for issues ranging from child and youth welfare to womens' issues, rural-urban divide, education, healthcare. Anti-corruption drives and the physically and mentally disabled. The voting process compels members to engage in valuable and lively debate and voice their own concerns and perspectives.
