Karmic is looking for volunteers immediately for one time activities - verifying NGOs and beneficiaries. What does that mean?.

This means two activities as follows:

1. Before we register a NGO and present them to our donors, we need to verify the antecedents of these NGOs so that we can guarantee to our donors the credibility of the NGOs registered with us. This is critical for social giving since it is important for donors to be reassured that their hard earned money will go to a proper NGO and thereafter o the end beneficiaries.
   
   No prior experience is needed as we will guide as to what needs to be done. It may involve one visit to the site to interact with the NGO promoters and peruse the various documents and meet their wards.


2. As you might know, after a donor makes a donation through Karmic, she receives a feedback report that describes the person who benefited from their kindness. While we have a great deal of faith in our NGOs, as part of our efforts to increase transparency and credibility, Karmic wants to make sure that these beneficiaries really exist and have received the benefits that the report mentions. The process will be as follows:
   

• Visiting specific beneficiaries identified by Karmic at an NGO location which may include a centre of activity or a school.
  
• Verifying that the beneficiary exists and that she/he has received the benefits as described in the feedback. Karmic India will support the volunteer with all the information that is required for her/him to make this visit.
  
• The visit has to be a 'surprise' visit - the beneficiary/NGO will NOT know the exact time of the visit..
  
• You will need to send us a report based on a template we give you
• The visit ideally has to be done on a weekday. The duration of this exercise is actually limited to verifying information as described in the feedback and nothing else
